I must confess that one of my favorite leisurely activities is playing with the contents of my closet and trying on and mixing up different clothing pieces that would normally not go well together. After many hours and numerous attempts I usually surprise myself with an ensemble that is eclectic, cool and above all -fun to wear! Those are usually my favorite outfits and I feel like my true self in fun little numbers like those below.:)
Who says that a utility jacket and a sequenced clutch cannot attend a little soiree together!?Or that a moto jacket and denim shirt cannot play with some gold and silver heels?
Not me!:)
Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Canada day!!

"Sister act..."

While patiently waiting for the sun to come up again, we continue reminiscing of the happier days captured in these photographs from several weeks ago ...these were the moments when summer looked promising and life still made sense.:) Little that we knew... Ahh...:(
There we are.. out and about, doing some fun sisterly stuff and more...:)We will see you all soon with the real post though!

Summer Bummer...

While the entire Northern Hemisphere is enjoying this season called summer, in my part of Canada the June sun is far behind the horizon... In the last several weeks we have been "blessed" with abundant precipitation and temperatures ranging from 10 °C-15°C (50 ºF-60ºF). Having grown up in the part of Europe where summers are long, warm ...and unbearably humid-this weather does not go too well with my personality, my hair style or my clothing preferences...
Like any smart and style-savvy girl, I tried to make the best out of this gloomy situation by pairing some shorts with some tights and mixing a vest with some long sleeved faux leather top... What else is a girl to do in this fashion unfriendly environment but just keep on walking with her head up high and her stilettos high above the rainy ground.:)
Thankfully, the weather will brighten up soon and so will my spirits and my sense of humor- I promise!:))

Bohemian Rhapsody...

Some styles are simply timeless and never seem to go out of fashion or fade in time! That 70's Bohemian vibe is definitively one of them. Whether epitomized by the flair of Farrah Fawcett, Bianca Jagger or Lauren Hutton, the vintage glamour of that era transcends in time and never ceases to inspire!
Bell bottoms, floppy heats and platforms are boho-chick basics and a must in any fashionista's chiffonier. I am no exception. Every spring, regardless of what fashion dictates, I inevitably regress into that 70's nostalgia because that's "How deep is (your) my love"!:))

Pattern madness

I have always been this girl whose purse matched her shoes, nail-polish matched the lipstick, with all her colours coordinated and pleasant. When the new trends of color blocking and pattern mixing emerged I said  to myself "No way!I ain't doing that ...ever!".:) However, somewhere along the way I caved in.... I got converted..:) I fell in love with the art of mixing the non-mixables and playing with everything zingy coloured in my closet. At this point, I could not imagine ever going back to the old monochromatic way of living... I say cheers to that!:)

Styling the denim on denim trend, without exuding a red-neck aura, could be a challenging task.:)
I have never been a big denim lover, as I was always aiming for the more dressed up and put together looks. Although the southern flair has never quite been my cup of tea , it is indeed possible to make denim look chic, cool and sophisticated. This one may I say, is one enviable sartorial skill!:)
Even though I am not going to the rodeo any time soon, I attempted playing with my modest denim collection, trying to shape and customize my look to fit my style and sensibility. I hope you like it!
